I bought chicken cutlets on thursday thinking I might make it for shabbos. I didn't found the packages pushed toward the back of my fridge today. I believe today is actually the sell by date. does that mean that if I put it on the freezer now it's fine. online I keep seeing raw chicken lasts a day or two only but the sell by date didn't pass yet!

They would still be safe to freeze today.

I would smell it. I never leave chicken in the fridge more than a day or so.
