I love my children dearly, greatest gifts bestowed upon me.
This has been waaaaay too long between school and camp
Can’t get a thing done! (Be it laundry, work, cleanup) Not functioning well.
All day is a chorus of MAAAAA……!
Please chime in!
TIA!

Yes, totally insane. I'm literally considering making aliyah...
It's not normal that we pay so much for tuition and then tons for day camps/camps, and then the kids still have so much time off.

When DH kvetched tonight that Sundays are so stressful with the kids having no structure I wanted to punch him. I've had a month worth of Sundays now.

Yup it's been way too long. Don't understand why we pay a fortune for day camp and tuition and the kids have off so so much. It's insane.
My kids need routine and structure

We all deserve a really nice vacation.
Not gonna happen for me in the near future, but a girl can dream!!
Is it just my kids or do others also have it that an any given moment, at least one of the kids is cranky/not feeling well/moody/chutzpadik/fighting?!? Even going to the bathroom doesn't happen in peace. There's always that one kid who needs to show me what she colored/is starving right now/just wants to follow mommy... I really do love them, but at the same time, I need my space...

Yesterday I nearly cried in the grocery store. My son was screaming that I’m the worst mummy ever because I don’t let him get a water gun. Mind you this was after I let him choose 2 treats, sausages and chips for dinner, and a small prize and a day trip…
What does he tell me? Your not my mummy anymore. Go move back to Israel.
He starts today and I’m going to make a party after he leaves

Bh my kids started already last week Thursday. It was only 2 hours but still. Now there is a new rule. All kids have to come home for lunch. I've never had that before. My kids were always in school from 8 till 4. One kid still needs her own key so I have to be home every day from 13 till 14.

To poster who wants to make aliyah for less off time, well in Israel they have their kids home for half a day, every day as they come home for lunch & don't all go back, day is over.

HAHAHAHA you think it's better here? Yes, I don't pay much for school but my kids are home at 1 every day. Then from the end of June till September 1st, there is NOTHING. No day camps, everyone is off... B'h they are back in school now but the past 2 months was HELL.
But I'm not complaining! I love living in Israel and I love the education my kids are getting, so you don't see me opening a support thread for when my kids are home. I do have lots of great tips if you need lmk....

Here’s a hopeful update for those that didn’t start yet:
After my older ones left my heart twisted but just for a minute. I sat down in front of my computer with a coffee all for myself!!! I worked in peace or as much as my toddler let me. Now that she’s sleeping I am eating a delicious lunch I could only dream about last week (it was pasta and sandwiches last week. Today I made a kale beet feta and pretzel salad with a side of salmon. Imagine that!!!) Tomorrow the little one goes and then I’ll be a a free bird. Cool thing is that I’m actually missing the big ones. Especially the one that wanted to sell me yesterday. Ha.

I've been losing my mind. I have ME/CFS and I've really over done it. I've become so snappy and irritable with the kids. My cleaning help decided to cancel this week. My husband thanked me for cleaning up the house. I wanted to yell at him that he should have done it. Hopefully will pull through. Only a few days left.
Going to make or buy yummy food otherwise I eat a bar of chocolate a day. Not the best thing for me.

When my kids do this, I play along with them.
Kid: “I hate you, I want a new mother, you’re the meanest etc”
Me: “oh goodness, really? Maybe we should go to the mother store and you’ll pick a new mother. Who would you pick as your new mom?”
They never know what to say and always end up saying they would pick me but I should stop being so mean.
Works every time.
