Elementary - $19,000 + $1500 bus
Girl - high school - $27,750 + $4000 bus
Boy - high school - $31,160 + $4200 bus
So $87000 and change for 3 kids. |
There you go. Built in birth control...
I'm not saying MO people are planning on having 10 kids, but 4 is pushing it with such tuitions. Definitely a major issue.

We must be at the other school then. I forgot the $350 activity fee, that is not included the $11K. Also, I don't know if tuition at our school is any different in older grades.

Israel:
Public religious elementary school: No tuition, maybe US$300/year in books, fees, etc.
Semi-private DL yeshiva: ~US$2500/year for tuition + books + fees/trips/etc.
Semi-private girls' high school (considered expensive) ~US$3750/year for tuition + books + transportation + fees/trips/etc.

BH we are able to pay full tuition (though there is nothing much left for extras after tuition and regular household expenses) for 5 kids ranging from beis medresh to kindergarten. (Outside the tri-state, but not a tiny OOT city either) We are paying around 70k total. The amount includes, dorms and food (for 2) and all fees.
If you don’t mind sharing, what is your annual income? We are paying a similar amount (with scholarships) but not really making it. |
Combined my husband and I make a about 230K before taxes. We do have a low mortgage. But even so the cost of everything going up we are making it but really not much extra after tuition, mortgage, insurance, car insurance, food, etc. We love hand-me-downs and buy clothing at walmart/target where we can (harder with older kids finding appropriate clothing--they are not picky).

Israel!
We pay under 7000 shek for a non dorming DL boys HS, that includes all trips, book fees, etc.
I do pay another 3000 shekel for the hasaah since we are technically in a different moetza.
DD(5) - I think gan is 500 for the year, including hot lunch. I actually don't really keep track. It's so low.

DH is employed by the school so we get free tuition. (And even with that discount, DH is severely underpaid but that's a discussion for another time...) We do give donations according to our means at that time.
