mold on the walls under shower.
I think the water drips there every time shower is used.

The wall is soft and crumbly. And bits of black.
Anything I can do, before someone comes to look at it??

Im scared wel have to replace the whole wall

Where are the walls as I don’t understand how they are under the shower. Are these the walls that are in the shower.

What are the walls constructed of because typically there is tile or fiberglass inside a shower. What is crumbling?

The shower is in a raised cubicle.
So its next to the cubicle, and slightly underneath the rim part

If the wall is soft and crumbly there's nothing you can do to restore it.

You'll need to cut out a chunk of the wall, clear the mold, then replace the wall. I've seen bathrooms with drywall which might be the issue here. They need to use wonderboard or some other water resistant wall material. I also recommend tiling around the shower to protect the wall. And/or using doors instead of curtains to keep the water in, installing a timed fan, and training your family to wipe away excess water after showers.

It sounds like you might have a pre fabbed shower insert. It's more money if course but now might be the right time to take it all out and do it right from the beginning.

Cover the walls with tarp or thick plastic tablecloth.
Tape the edges of the shower curtain to the wall. Have everyone dry the floor and walls before leaving the bathroom after a shower.

Hi
Just wanted to update.

We had a plumber come straight after yomtov to look at it.
He showed us where the water drips every time and said we need a new seal for the shower and then that bit of wall needs replastering . But he couldnt do it.

Bh today, I managed to get someone whos basically done the job.
Wasnt as bad as I thought.
Hes put a new seal on and replastered the wall. Took him under an hour. And tommorrow coming to finish it off.

Thank you evryone for your advice.
Bh managed to sort it.
