No... But the meat from the head doesn't taste different than the other meat. So if someone will eat it, then do.

I was once shopping right before Pesach and met a woman (she did not appear frum) who told me that she reuses the lamb shank bone on the Seder Plate every year, and freezes it in between.

I was thoroughly grossed out, but this takes the cake. Fish wins over meat! Eww.....

They just use it as a centerpiece? Isn’t the point to eat from it?
Also how does is it not deformed if they eat from it?

no wayyy! ewww! gross! I needed a laugh today! thx!

this is the first year I didn't buy a (fresh!) fish head. Just went with the candied jelly fish and that's it. Its been 20 yrs and I just cant handle it anymore. Lol! I am gurgling with laughter imagining that thing in my freezer ALL YEAR! EVERY TIME I OPEN THE DOOR I'D SEE THOSE GOGGLY EYES!

My family never ate from it. Straight from the freezer to the table. My mother was too grossed out from it to even take it out of the container.

During the seuda, we would just point at it while saying the Yehi Ratzon, without Shem HaShem.

Lakewood yeshivish for reference.

ETA we did not reuse the same one from year to year.

DH also says you can say the Yehi Ratzon just while looking at it, you don't have to actually eat from it.
