not sure if they actually taste different but it definitely feels different.
Especially for different type of sauces. Some hold more sauce than others.... and others like fettuccini or spaghetti you want just a coating of sauce on outside of pasta.

Different textures can taste different. It's really not even diff texture , but it can give you the illusion of such because of the diff shapes. Although, different companies can definitely have a slightly different taste from another.

Pastas need to be cooked differently. Some 5-8 min. Some Al-Dente. You might like the Al Dente better than the longer cooking time and that has a different taste.

All taste different! You can’t compare shells, elbows, spaghetti and bow ties!

Yes!! Bow ties are the best. I also like that weird flute shape and the one thats like a braid but with two strands. The rest are just not as good.

Certain pasta shapes are better for different recipes. Some are shaped to hold more sauce for example.

Same brand /different shape = same taste.
Texture can vary slightly. There will be a different mouth feel.
And it could be that two pastas, same brand, both cooked to same doneness, and then tossed in same sauce - will taste differently just because some shapes hold sauce better so those shapes will have more sauce in each bite and be more flavorful.

My cousin used to ask "what flavor pasta do you want?" Meaning what shape? Now I ask the same question.

There’s a shape like a thick spaghetti that is hollow inside. It’s so hard to get it in your mouth soo don’t like it. But not sure why I have favorites like shell, bow tie and spaghetti
