Can anyone help me think of girls' names (hebrew please, no yiddish) that are somehow related to the concept of malchut? So far I can think of: Malka, Meirav, Michal. I know there must be more out there, but I'm not sure how to look...

We named dd Kayla Sarah after my grandmothers, but it turns out that both of her names are related to malchus. The name Kayla comes from Kelila, which means crown. The Sarah was a bit of a stretch. The original name was Yenta, which we were NOT going to burden our daughter with. My grandmother always used her English name, Henriette. When we did some research, we discovered that Yenta is the Yiddish word for Henriette. Henriette is equivalent to the male name Henri (in French), which means ruler of an enclosure. An equivalent to that in Hebrew is Sar, hence Sarah for a girl. We could not use the names Malka or Atara for specific reasons, and Sarah seemed to be the closest we could get to the original meaning of the name.

challi, I love the name Atara.
I know someone whose daughter was born on Rosh HaShana and they named her Malkiya. Not really individual maichus, but a beautiful name.

I have a Kelila; indeed it does mean crown. I love it! "Kelil Tiferet" from Shacharit on Shabbat -- the crown of splendor - also "Kelilat Yofi" describes Jerusalem- the perfect beauty.
