Op it’s normal to have incorrect misunderstandings, there are so many rules in our life! It’s good that you opened this thread so now you can ask about using soap permissibly.
No need to shame her, we learn new things all the time. |
Thank you for this I just peeked at the thread again. I left this thread after everyone yelling at me that I'm an unsanitary gross person. Seriously we're all trying to do our best
I asked my dh to ask the rav again we'll see what he says.

I know a family that doesn't use dish soap on pesach. They use salt. Not sure how or what.
I dilute soap before shabbos. Helps with washing dishes in freezing water cuz the soap water is room temp.

Some say liquid soap is okay to use but many say it should be diluted. Ask your rav. We dilute ours.

Not everyone holds you have to dilute liquid soap. We use regular liquid soap on shabbos.

Not everyone holds that you have to dilute soap before Shabbat.

The issue is its smearing, which is one of the things we can't do on shabbos. When you water it down its becomes a liquid consistency and therefore isn't smearing.
We hold you can use regular soap

Or why....?
Edit: I found this nifty article about alternatives to dishwashing soap:
https://www.tipsbulletin.com/h.....soap/
Vinegar, wood ash, salt.
Many of these solutions require some serious elbow grease, so I'm not sure how Shabbat-worthy they are.
