According to Google, jicama is a member of the legume family. Does that count as kitniyos? I know many people use it on Pesach.

I'm almost sure it's not. I pretty sure my mother uses it.

It's not kitniyos, it's used in many pesach salads. It's like a non sweet crunchy apple/pear.

Apparently the jicama plant grows as bean pods (the legume) above ground and tuberous roots (the part we know as jicama) underground. Who knew??
