For several years, I've been using sweet red wine when making a roast. I thought it came out fine but now I'm wondering if I should be using a semi dry or dry red wine. Would that be better?
I really don't know much about wine and usually just use the wine that is left over from Purim. Please enlighten me.

I usually use the cheapest Cabernet that I’d also be willing to drink.

So I guess a dry wine is the way to go. I'll try it and see how the roast comes out. Thanks.
