And my winter coat and comforters don't get washed till June, when I'm fairly confident they won't be needed till next fall.

If your house is perfect clean, noone lives there...

My house is always cleaned and maintained, I never stop. However, I allow the kids to make a mess and play..

Also, when cleaning one thing, you always dirty another....

I think life is meant to be this way.

Imagine if we could sleep once for the year. Eat breakfast and be full for the day. Go to the bathroom once a month. Buy groceries and cook once a year.

And spiritually, work on stop speaking Lashon Hara for two weeks and stop permanently. Focus on being kind and patient and never get angry again.

Hashem didn’t create the world to work that way, convenient as it may have been. The regular messiness of our homes is like the regular maintenance we all need to keep our bodies and souls functioning well.

I think that in the next world, results are permanent and don’t backslide!

Honestly OP I'm jealous that your house gets to look like that for pesach. I work about 25 hours a week, am making the whole pesach, I have no cleaning help (just quit before purim) and have three little ones. So pesach cleaning is just bare minimum getting rid of chometz
No spring cleaning or beauty appointments or anything like that....

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make anyone jealous. I work from home so I have that flexibility bh. I wish you lots out luck (and cleaning help).

Sorry for making you ewwwwww. That’s life. Maybe I need better protectors but even if I had I would still clean them at least once a year. We sweat every night whether I like it or not. We shed tons of hair.

No eating on the couch will keep that clean feeling for longer. Certain things can be maintained but some things are harder to keep that fresh feeling for long.

There are hand-held vacuum cleaners that plug into your car's cigarette lighter, or battery-operated ones, or you can go to a service station that has a vacuum that you pay for by the 15 minutes or whatever. A Bissell carpet sweeper is great for surface pickup on floors but it doesn't get below the surface, and it's designed for flat floors, not contoured car interiors. It also doesn't do corners.

I've found that the handheld car vacuum cleaners are great for everyday maintenance but aren't powerful enough for the Pesach job.

The ones from the service station don't have crevice attachments to get into every nook and cranny.

For Pesach, your best bet is to use your household vacuum cleaner (using an extension cord as necessary). If that doesn't work, try renting a commercial vacuum cleaner.

The top layer is padded soft cotton. The bottom layer is plastic. You dont sleep directly on it.

When we got new mattresses, we were told they have a good warranty but only if the mattresses stay pristine.

I love these mattress protectors. Breathable terry on top and waterproof underneath to keep mattresses clean/warranties valid.

I'm with you.... I don't even buy plastic crib mattress protectors, just regular protectors. The crib mattresses are plastic.
