Hi Everyone,

For the first time ever my husband asked me to post something on imamother. Very Happy

He has a couple of little strings coming out of his knitted kipa and he wants to know how to fix it. I told him he could wear it inside out but he feels there is only one right side to wear the kippa. Any tips would be great.

Thanks and Shavua Tov!

I agree, there's really only one right side to a kippa. I don't think there's a way to fix one. If it's frayed or unraveling, it's time to say goodbye.

However, go to the kippah man. His kippahs are expensive but amazing handmade creations. Dh's have never frayed or unraveled. They get dirty and stained, and so they need replacing, but they're still good as new in terms of holding up.

Who is the kipa-man? My husband likes the ones that are all black. Does he sell those too?

Thanks for the tip!

The kippaman has a tiny little store - really a hole in the wall on Yaffo, a bit past sbarros on the same side going towards the old city. Ask anyone on the street where he is.

As for the all black, he sells everything!

if they are long threads, take a needle and push them through the other side of the kippah. Go to a fabric store and get a product called "fray check" and put that on the unraveling edges. It will hold and not wash out.
