How can I prepare a rib steak without an oven, gas grill, or Betty Crocker? I have a burner, pot/frying pan, and George Forman grill.

Frying pan is the best! Just coat with salt and pepper and sear in a little olive oil.

Rib eye steak is a tender cut of meat and should be seared at a high heat. The Foreman grill would be perfect but a heavy pan on a stove is also good. Safest way is to use a meat thermometer which is inexpensive since cooking time depends on the thickness of the actual steak.
What is the timing for ribeye?
How Long Should You Cook a Ribeye Steak? Cooked over high heat, a thick ribeye steak (1.5 to 2 inches thick) will cook in approximately 10 minutes, about 5 minutes on each side. A thin ribeye steak (1.5 inches or less) will cook in approximately 6 minutes, about 3 minutes on each side.

Thanks! I'll fry it in a pan. How long for medium doneness?
