I’m in the middle of cooking, and double checking all labels while I cook, as always.
My Osem KLP onion soup mix which is also OUP and Chasam sofer bnei brak KLP has yeast extract listed as one of the ingredients.
Google says yeast doesn’t have to made of chametz but does anyone know this for sure??

If it has several KLP hechsherim, I'd assume they've checked it.
Yeasts can grow on all kinds of substrates, not just grain products.
Remember, wine, which we all use on Pesach, is also made with yeast. Wine yeast.
Milk kefir contains yeasts.

I wouldn’t worry about it, but if you want to call the hashgacha go for it. Yeast can come from a lot of things. Remember it’s used to make KLP wine too.

Thank you all!
I went back to the store and spoke to the chassidish owner and showed him the label and he said not to worry, yeast isn’t just from chometz. So BH my cooking is all safe. Whew.
