I thought it would never happen. (after all, my gramma still has hers, and it's still going strong, for over 50 years now...)
Yesterday, as I was about to start a dough for Onion Rolls*, my mixer decided not to turn on. I tried unplugging it a couple of times, tapping it on all sides... nothing....
For me, this is a big punishment, as I'm a huge baker. I use it at least 3-4 times during the week....
DH says he'll try to open up and see if he can fix it. (he's pretty handay, so maybe my mixer still has some hope....)
P.S. I still managed to make the Onion Rolls, and they came out delicious.
* I'll post the recipe in the recipe section.

Oy, that's terrible. I don't know what I'd do without mine.
I'll bet you can fix it though. I seem to remember a place right at the top of Rechov Bezalel (next to Bet ha'am) which deals in parts etc. Don't lose hope.
By the way, you CAN knead dough with your hands, you know...

Baruch Dayan HaEmes! Call the company, they may have a plan to get it fixed, or find a repair person.

Were sadder words every spoken than those in your subject line? I'm sitting here sobbing so loud that my neighbor called to see if I'm okay. I need to be held. I wonder if the neighbor's wife would mind.

So much crying over the mixer, what about those poor onions who gave their lives for your rolls?

Will you be Ok??? | Yes, I called my therapist and she's giving me an emergency session later today. Is there any charity I can make a donation to, in honor of your dear, departed mixer?

hey clarissa - just donate the $money$ to mishie directly ... for a new & improved one ...
I cry over onions too ...
and I would most certainly cry over my kitchen aid ... I couldn't live without it ...

p.s. mishie - in grandma's era everything was made more durable ... (see what you can do about getting hers)
