I was 21 in Monroe, NY. We didn’t have any help at all, we just tried saving every dollar towards a house.

Under $200K.
Very OOT
Mortgage is considerably lower than rental of same size.
Under 2500 sq ft
Very Low down payment, but then borrowed some to bring it up 20%.

We bought when I was 29. But someone helped with the down payment. We had to buy because the market was going up and we are stuck in nyc, I have 2 autistic kids who need services.

It was abt 13 yrs ago, it was less than 250k in Lakewood then! |
Do you mean Coventry? Or maybe Wyndham?
I remember single family homes 13 years ago when I was looking, being in the $450-$500k range.
