I wouldn't put it on a 6 year old boy but probably wouldn't put it on a 6 year old girl either...
Looks more like a young type shirt like under 4

At 6 I would want my child to be comfortable with a more unusual shirt, I would ask the child. I don't ask when I buy more typical shirts.
For a girl I think it would be fine even for an older girl.

Fine for boy up till 8. I see 8 yr old boys still dress young cutesy today if they're smallish

My girls had this last year and it was their fav! Ages 1 and 6. It's not for very warm weather. We used it between seasons and winter.
