Is Houston a safe place to live? I just saw something recent about relations trafficking and it's freaking me out. Tia

I don't live there but I have family who does and I've been there before. It isn't known as the safest city, and the Jewish community (at least one of the communities) is surrounded by a less safe neighborhood. This is information from around 8 years ago, so not sure if it has changed.

I live in Houston and feel perfectly safe b"H
The frum community is near an area that isn't so safe at night. Realistically this means that:
- don't leave valuables in your car at night
- don't walk in the unsafe areas alone at night
Other than that, it doesn't really impact anything.
Are you planning on moving here?
