When to start TTC-post Ozempic

I’m wondering how long after being off could I ttc.

I was on trulicity which is another brand of ozempic, and was told once I go off I have to be on birth control for 3 months. When I went off, I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle bh

Why? Is there a risk of birth defects?

There is a very high risk and the official guidelines are birth control while taking and for at least two months after stopping.
