DS 9 years old randomly complains that he feels stinging in his chest. It’s happened so randomly and infrequently that I never really paid attention to it. But over Shabbos he complained that it happened every couple of hours. Has anyone’s kid had this? Is it common to have chest cramps like this?

I used to have those as a kid. I don't know what they were but I eventually outgrew them.

Does it happen a little while after he eats or when he lies down ?
That would indicate possible acid reflux (GERD)

Dd had to stop eating ketchup for a while.
Your dc should try tums when he feels the pain. If it goes away you know its acid reflux.
As a mom, I would take him to the dr for a checkup.
