Do we have to eat evey time we are REALLY feeling hungry? When is it that the body goes into starvation mode? how long does it have to feel hungry for?

I would say to schedule your eating so you're never at that 'famished' point to begin with since that usually leads to overeating. An appetitie around meal/snacks time is normal and healthy.

You might want to try drinking a cup of water when you feel hungry.
The body sometimes mistakens thirst for hunger.

I have a hard time with this bc I have the same feeling when I'm really hungry and after I eat, it feels like I'm still starving.

I AM HUNGRY!!!!
I started weight watchers and I'm nursing (yes, I am taking my extra points), but I am still hungry.
I am hoping my stomach will shrink soon and then I will feel less hungry.
