I've never done this before and need info on how gemachs in crown heights work.
I'm from out of state and want to know what the cost is to rent a gown, how long you can have it for and can you ship it back?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

they usually like you to take the gown as close to the wedding as possible so other people can try it on. would u have someone to pick it up? if u need to do alterations it may be different. aslo if your in wedding season then the gown may be used by anotehr person and not even available until a little before ur wedding.
they usually give u a week or 2 to dry clean the gown and get it back to them.
another great gemach for girls is chaya light (originally shagalov) I dont know her # though. she has really nice gowns

Ten Simcha has a very big selection of beautiful gowns, range is $50-$200 so you need to tell her what your budget is. Also she only sees people whose wedding is within a month, maybe its different if you are coming in from out of town, I don't know. Chaya Light has a smaller selection, but also very nice gowns, and I don't think she charges except you pay for cleaning. She is probably more flexible with taking and returning.
