Looking for a name to express tremendous happiness and gratitude for the gift of a new baby after many years. We don't know the gender. We live in a mixed chassidish/yeshivish community so the name needs to fit. For example, I think Hodaya is a beautiful name but it won't really fly here. I also don't like Yiddish names generally.
We also can't give a lot of the more typical names, like Baruch/Bracha, Nechama/Nachman, Tehilla, Chaim, Yehuda, etc.

Yonasan (Hashem gave- also the symbol of a friendship that was eino tluya bdavar)
Leah- she’s considered the first person to really thank Hashem (when Yehuda was born- hapam oideh es Hashem)
Obviously Yehuda, that’s the first name that came to mind but you said you can’t use it
Nosson
Yehudis (although I have always heard that it really means jewess)
Dovid- dovid hamelech wrote Sefer tehillim which is full of praise and thanks
Tehila- also praise of Hashem

We named our daughter Basya. I felt her conception, pregnancy, and delivery was truly l'maala min hateva and she was Hashem's daughter. Every time I call her name I am reminded with gratitude of the nisim Hashem made for us in granting us this precious neshama.

Yonason comes to mind for a boy.
My son is named after someone, but I had a crazy pregnancy that they weren't sure I would make it and aborting wouldn't have made a difference. The name we were naming after actually fit amazingly. His name is Chanan.

Ruchama for a girl.
