I play Dungeons & Dragons approximately twice a month, each session lasting about 2.5 hours.

We are 8 adults who get together over zoom to role play as wizards and rogues (and druids and rangers and bards…), roll dice to fight monsters, and create an awesome story together. Being an unabashed nerd and creatively collaborating gives me LIFE.
my husband is creative and has a slew of hobbies that I see give him life. I’m not like that so much or maybe I just haven’t tapped into it. I see my sisters who are into biking for example. They have a whole hobby around it. Buying the equipment and clothing, training with friends, classes, trips… gives them a whole other role

DIY. We bought an old house and fixed it up ourselves. I discovered I love to do construction. From the planning and figuring out the angles of the moldings to the satisfaction I feel when it's done.

Sadly, Imamother and WhatsApp. Don't know if they give me life, or kill my motivation to do anything else.

Writing.

But I don't usually get enough time and mental space to do significant writing, I do most of my writing here...

Organizing!!
There's something so thrilling and invigorating about emptying a drawer or cabinet and reorganizing, even getting a few bins...
its physical work and brainwork and then you're left with a neat organized part of your home!

My kids have drained my energy for most outlets other than reading.

I have Whatsapp groups to help people find books for their kids, so my reading feels more tachlis.

I also enjoy genealogy. I also like writing. Finally have interest in it again now that my youngest started school, and a topic I'm really interested in came up.

When I need to detox I play small games online like quordle.

If you like genealogy, Ellis island has a searchable database where you can look up your family and they came and see the passenger manifests. Warning you can spend hours on this site trying to figure out when your relatives can you want him to used etc.
