How about some balance. What he did was horrible and a Jewish family really suffered by his deception. We were all shocked. If it were my daughter I would have scratched his eyes out.

I am so glad that Hashem has given her another chance at happiness and the ability to raise a family with someone new. I wish her all the mazal and bracha in the world.

Now, please remember Mr Haliwa was a kid when he did what he did. He was immature. He is still a result of his experiences as a child raised as a muslim in Lebanon. He should have been honest from day one, but I assume he was scared and didnt know how. He was raised among Shiites after all. He admitted publicly that he was wrong. He is aware that many people are wary of him. He will always have to prove his honesty and sincerity to the world.

I will add- he has some measure of charisma and confidence.

He has since converted LeChumra so there is really no question regarding that issue. We dont have a right to hurt him. In my eyes, the jury is still out on him.

I found the interview compeling and the chosen background (including the Dome of the Rock/Al Aqsa mosque and the Kosel underneath) to be an interesting choice.
