These long Friday nights lend themselves to a long dessert course. I want to keep thinks healthier so maybe I’ll serve warm compote and popcorn. Any other ideas?

I'm the most unhealthy eater, but you can serve fruits, hot apple cider, popcorn.
You can dip the fruits into hot melted chocolate if you have a way of keeping it warm.

You can do apple pie or crumble with no or very little sugar. Just use apples that are naturally sweet.

My mother used to make homemade apple sauce and would serve it warm. She used to give us chocolate chips to add to our own bowls.

Nuts are a good idea. Is there any way to serve warm? I’ve never had chestnuts (I don’t even know if they are “nuts”), but does anyone put out chestnuts?

Good idea! What type of chocolate do you use as the base and what do you put on it?
