My 4 year old is having his adenoids removed iyh. Any tips and advice? What can I expect?

My dd had it at 4 years old. Her neck hurt for a week or so after so I gave her Motrin for there. also her breath smelled terrible for about two weeks after.

Is it together with tonsils?
My son had this when he was 3.
First few days he didnt feel good.
After a week and half bh on the mend.
Give painkillers regularly, dont wait until they are in pain.
Hatzlocha.
So good to do it while theyr young.
