Literally at loss. My daughter has to push literally till she's red in the face to be able to pea. Pediatrician sent for x-ray, urine test... everything clear. Any ideas????? She is really suffering

Firstly, is it all day, or only after getting up from bed? Secondly, is she showing other signs of different behavior?

Maybe pediatric pelvic floor PT would have some insight

Any difficulty with defecation? Any leg weakness? Any back pain?

She’s not constipated? (I would assume pediatrician would rule this out but just making sure…). And yes I know you said pee but sometimes constipation can make it hard to pee.

Agreed constipation can make it hard or make it hurt. You could see if she can wee in a warm bath.

But she should certainly see a urologist.

Yes go to urologist but also, it can be a psychological issue-
At this age it’s common for kids to suddenly develop an urgency to go or have the feeling they need to urinate even if they just went and there can be the feeling of something stuck. Usually if you don’t call attention and let the child figure it out, it passes and child reverts to typical bathroom habits.
I had this with 2 of my daughters and many friends had similar experiences.

How long has this been going on for? She needs an ultrasound if the x ray didn't show anything. This is very concerning and she should be seen by a urologist ASAP. I would be concerned that there is a blockage somewhere. If you can't get into a urologist very soon I would take her to the ER.

My relative is a nurse and she says when patients are having difficulty urinating, they have them blow through a straw (or just through pursed lips to imitate blowing through a straw). I hope that gives her a little relief!
