Mackage is also a good idea if you can find.

A zip up hoodie is a very shleppy look to wear as a top or as a jacket… |
I don’t think she meant as an actual jacket, just something that you can throw over your clothes for a cozy feeling.
Op you know what your daughter wants for a gift, you’re better off than many of us. Don’t let anyone crawl under your skin.
I saw a few that are cool among the links. My personal favorite was the kenzo one with the red panel on the back.

Juicy is very passé, moos knuckles in very much for teens. |
I agree, lululemon and alo are probably the way to go, even if they’re not “designer” per se.

I think these brands are very trend based and will not stick around as in style.
Op is looking for something that will be a worthwhile investment. In that case I would go with something more high designer and less trendy.
Armani, Moschino, Kenzo, Karl Lagerfeld etc.

Back from work.
Giselle, it's so special that you posted links!
Yes. Not looking for a jacket, just a zip hoodie that can sort of serve double duty.
Like I said no big designs or words. Small logo somewhere in size large or extra large.
I see one or two options here that might work but would still appreciate if someone has more ideas.

Thanks. The first one is not available I. The right size and the second one has big words on the back.
I'm just explaining why some of the links that I so appreciate that people posted haven't been right for me.

Thanks so much for those that are taking the time to post links. I really appreciate it!!! |
Alo runs very big - a medium should be a large

It’s not. Maybe in some circles, but definitely not for people who wear designer
OP what kind of designer is she looking for? There are premier and mid-range. Then there’s the brands that are very trendy among teens, which it doesn’t sound like you want.
I wear premier designer and would not appreciate items from Armani (unless georgio or prive), kenzo (juvenile), Karl lagerfeld (not considered designer) or Moschino (also pretty juvenile unless investing in a select few runway pieces which are $$$$)
I would wear lulu or alo but those aren’t designer, they are just trendy athletic wear.
So it really depends what you think she is looking for here, designer is a broad range.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not really sure and that's why I appreciate everyone's input
I definitely don't want teenagerish, but my budget says probably more mid range.

Premier designer wouldn’t be under $200…

If she wouldn’t appreciate the mid-range designer, then I’d suggest going a different direction. If it was me personally I’d go logoless and instead get her a delicious cashmere zip up hoodie. They’re super comfortable and very luxurious and in your price range
I’ve been enjoying this brand-

Another option from Bloomingdales brand:

I think she would be ok with mid range. Because it is a gift and I want her to see it as an indulgence that she wouldn't allow herself, I don't want to go in that direction.

I like the Sandro or the max Mara hoodies that someone posted, these brands are designers and classic, and you can find good deals…
