I bake salmon for my dieting self and add peas and carrots to the pan as a side dish. It gets flavoring from the spices I use on the salmon.
Can’t say my family is interested in this but I enjoy it.

I use it in chicken veggie dish . it's the filling of a chicken pot pie without the crust. I serve it over rice or quinoa
Also add the tuna patties

I do this as well. My Hungarian Babi's soup always had peas and carrots- sometimes tinned, sometimes frozen
I also make a nice side for schnitzel with rice or potatoes. I put veggies in a pot with just a little water. Add salt, pepper a bit of oil, garlic powder and some honey. Steam until done and colours are still bright.
