What is it like there on Shabbos? Is it a nice walk to shul? Are you walking thru a commercial or residential neighborhood? Debating to go or not.

There are 2 hotels within walking distance of shuls, and 1 within walking distance of the yeshiva. They are all about a mile walk to the shul or yeshiva. There is the Raddison Hotel and Hilton hotel. They are near each other and parts of both hotels are in the eruv. You do need to find out which doors you can use if you want to use the eruv. They are in downtown scranton, near busy streets, and you will have to walk thru a bit of the commercial area before reaching the residential part.

The ANZ hotel (formerly Sheraton) is closer to the yeshiva, not in the eruv, and also will have to walk by a few businesses before reaching the residential area-though it's really not a lot. It's also right off the highway and a busy area.
