How common is it to do a car photo shoot before/after the vort?
Did you do it? Why or why not? I am curious because I don't see much of them posted online and wonder how common it is.
Please say which affiliation
Thanks

I have never seen or heard of such a thing.
This feels very “age of social media”/“pics or it didn’t happen” validation-starved to me.
It’s like if you don’t have a photo shoot, it doesn’t count?? Have someone hiding out to document the cuteness and originality and kosher-romance of your proposal, then have an engagement photographer to prove you’re engaged, and the wedding must be a photo journalistic event with a teaser trailer…
Maybe I’m just OLD OLD OLD

Kinda dying to know what a "car photo shoot before/after vort" is?!?!
Guess #1 - friend drives by in car and takes pics of couple w/their phone... while couple pretends they don't know they are being photographed?
Guess #2 - a g*yishe Instagram trend where you take engagement photos posed on/by a retro/classic or otherwise interesting car... you know, for the "Aesthetic"

I have no clue either.
Flatbush. Jewish.
Maybe instead of all of us who have no idea what this is describing ourselves, op could tell us where she’s from and what crowd she hangs out with.

I'm married 11+ years and this wasn't a thing when I got engaged, at least not as common. I find this to be more common in ex chassidish/chassidish lite crowds. Or jpf that are into cars lol

Gotta love Google. Looks like this mishegoss is taken directly from nonJewish fashion. Nor dos felt undz.
Can't say I ever considered an automobile to be a love story element or even a good prop for a photo shoot. I might consider a smoochy couple in or near a car to be a good image for an automobile ad, implying as it does that this vehicle will enhance one's love life, but the converse? Not so much. I don't think a frum couple would really appreciate how suggestive such a picture is. Automobiles, after all, have something of a reputation as bedrooms on wheels.

In the secular world, teens rent expensive cars for prom/homecoming (Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, etc) and take pics with it and their date. Is that what this is?

Wasn't getting engaged much simpler 20 years ago? You just had to be there with your fancy old fashioned outfit and blown flipped hair. Who had time or the nerves to worry about a car?

OP, what is this? Im from Chicago and have friends and family who recently got engaged from all across the board, from not frum to ultra yeshivish and everything in between, super rich and no money, and I have never heard of this before.
What the heck is it?

Come on. Of course not kissing!
Frum couple very machmir won't have much contact during engagement.
Was just curious if this is a thing because I haven't seen it previously.
I see it isn't! Lol.
Its nothing much. Just pictures in his car.
Thanks for all your replies.
