Why not look into Compuskills? Compuskills offers courses and a program for frum post-sem students and newly married girls. There are many different courses, an individualized BA program, and some internships. As part of the program there are extra curricular activities and trips. It's a wonderful environment and the courses are very professional -- many recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Labor. And best of all, there are generous grants available for students coming from out of Israel.
You can find more info at compuskills.org. Or give us a call ISRAEL 02-654-1268 ▪ 058-322-2976
UK 0203-807-0519 (Israel time) ▪ USA 347-717-4577 (Israel time). Or email us your questions: compuskills.register@gmail.com

Would they take a seventeen year old?

It doesn't sound like it would be much help towards a medical career.

Yes, 17 year olds are welcome.
Well, not sure if the US degree that they offer will help towards med. school. However, the courses will give a good foundation for jobs she can get on the side. The Hebrew ulpan class is excellent for helping mastering spoken Hebrew. And the environment is very positive. And that can be an excellent bridge to mastering life skills on her own away from home.
