I used peroxide plenty of times on blood stains. Just pour a little and let it bubble up and throw into wash machine. Wash regular. Good luck.

Hydrogen peroxide in pure form is a chemical compound of hydrogen and oxygen.
It is safe for use around food according to the FDA.

I wouldn't drink hydrogen peroxide but it breaks down fairly quickly into oxygen and water, and it rinses away with water. If you used it in a vessel you use for food, all you need to do is rinse the vessel, same as you would do if you put anything else into the vessel, like soap or bleach.

I tried that and the stain didn’t come out. What did I do wrong?

You did nothing wrong. Not all stains come out. You have to attack the stain immediately, and sometimes you have to treat the fabric twice. Sometimes the stain is too deeply embedded in the fabric to come out. We have this idea that all stains will come out if you just know the proper treatment, but this is not true.

Has to be done on fresh blood. Won’t work well on old blood. I pour on and then check if it’s clean if not pour some more..

My mom taught me to pour on, let bubble, scrub fabric and rinse. Continue over and over until clean and then wash.

Use Oxi (Oxi Clean). It works great on old blood. You follow the directions to soak your stained garments, then wash.

Bar soap is great for getting out blood stains. Use cold water and scrub over the stain. The more fresh the blood, the easier it is. Works every time bH.

Oxiclean is basically (dry) hydrogen peroxide and washing soda.
