I have basically no one to geek out with 😭 most of the people I know have more typical interests. My family is geeky, though. But all different types of geeks, so it doesn't always match up to geek out together. 😂

Random things that pique my interest. Some parts of history, random science, lots of nature, literature, vocabulary, etc. And other random things.

Second question: I guess? I wish I was more grounded in reality and less "flying". But my brain needs candy, and real life is so boring.

I mentioned some of them. I think it's more like random pieces of knowledge stick in my head? If that makes sense? So like I can be walking outside at night, look up, and pick out the constellation Orion, even though I'm not a major astronomy buff. But ask me the name of the person who introduced themselves to me two minutes ago, and I will likely have zero recollection. Or what's the major hock in my kid's school.

To me, it means something like: deep interest in and extensive knowledge of topics that have little practical bearing on day to day life, that the average person you interact with would not be able to match.

You sound a lot like me. I neeed to learn a new genre every so often and obsess over random nerdy stuff to keep my brain from wilting. I think I might be a teeny bit autistic. Do you think that’s true for you too?
