Ive never used this oven, but it was previously used.

While Im running Self Clean cycle (newish Samsung), is outside supposed to feel warmer than just warm, to the touch?

Display shows minutes left, and lock icon, and I definitely see fire on on bottom of oven.

I thought outside should feel VERY warm. It doesnt. Oven door feels slightly warmer than room temperature.

I just want to make sure its hot enough on the inside for Kashering.

Sounds like a question for a Rav, no?

It's possible that the insulation is very good and it just doesn't get that hot on the outside.

Different brand but my oven doesn't actually get hot on the outside either. Fire is visible through glass door. The kitchen does get a bit stuffy though and we keep the window open.
