The instructions are usually posted. Just like the giveaway post. Follow the necessary accounts. Tag the required number of people

I think giveaways speak against using your 'alternate giveaway' acct and tagging yourself. do you feel bad doing so and winning?

Oh! So that's how you do it.
I don't really know anyone on Instagram who I'm close enough to tag without being considered socially off. So I only enter giveaways that didn't require tagging. Never thought of tagging myself in a fake account

Yes maybe ask them if they’re ok with you doing that. I would feel really bad taking a prize when I didn’t enter the way I was supposed to.

Really? I hadn’t heard that. I know a few people who are influencers and they all know I’ve been entering giveaways this way and no one said anything about it

She did the giveaway to gain followers. Once that was achieved, she had no interest in wasting her time on a freebie. It took a while and a lot of money (prepping for the photoshoot) until I realized that she had no intention of honoring it. Found out later she did it to others as well

No, it's not worth giving up hours of your time on social media so that you might have a chance of winning a few snoods or a photography session that was really not being given to you. Or even donuts or a culinary course. Your time is worth more than the chance to possibly win some of those things.
