there is a wonderful eim habayit the past few years who really connects with the girls. she grew up in israel to american parents- so she speaks english and hebrew fluently. she is young and very much a part of the sem experience there.
BTW - on a sad note, I don't know if there are any mothers here who love and respect Giveret Leibowitz like I do - if yes, you may be interested to know that her husband passed away this morning. Boruch Dayan Haemes.

You mean the Aim Bayit? I remember her husband, I can picture him coming in to make Kiddush on Friday night. I'm sorry to hear this.

He was a grandson of R' Baruch Ber Leibowitz, right?
(I just wasn't sure because that was the old Aim Bayit's last name too.....)

There are always rumors about them closing but as far as I know they plan to open again (obviously some of the clientele may be changing).
