How do I get my first freelance writing client?
I've published sporadically in magazines and everyone who knows me thinks of me as a writer. I think that my writing style is tight and professional. How do I get a business to actually hire me - don't they all already have their go-to people?

Big question!
The secret is in networking and marketing yourself.
For your first few clients, can you think of people who might be able to use your services?
Show them your samples and tell them you'd love to help them with their business.
Maybe make a special, limited-time offer to build your portfolio.
