Sounds comfortable. doesn't it feel like schlepping something huge all day? (Im coming from open Birkenstocks)

Not at all. I would say the merrells are def lighter, more like wearing an open pair of sneakers and the Uggs are just heaven. try on and you'll see what I mean, but not in a heavy/sweaty way.
