My son was very growth hormone deficient. He started GH shots at 12.5 and stopped at almost 17. He grew 15 inches on it (ended up close to 6 feet). Within weeks he started to grow.

all endos usually stretch out the process
they need to see the growth over a few years
I did hear with Dr Alter u need to push and say u want the growth hormone already
u do have time to grow till the bones fuse doesnt matter age
can grow alot in one yr

DS started right around his bar mitzvah. We are in his 3rd year now. Bone age was matching his chronological age. He did start growing (finally!!) pretty much immediately. I think maybe 3 inches at his first follow up after he started.
