I will be wearing it with black tights and boots, so I feel like it can use some interest/color in the form of a necklace. What type do you think would be good?

I would go for delicate necklace to balance out the chunky cut of the dress. Yellow gold if you have but Anything you wear will pop against the all black.

I have a similar dress. Looks best with a simple pendant. I tried it with all my old chunky, fashion necklaces...nothing looked right.
I wear a small simple diamond heart pendant or a choker and think it looks great.

I think the opposite. The dress is very simple, and with black tights and boots, I’d go for a bold piece of jewelry.
OP, I personally think the pendant is too simple for that dress.
