They have a deal if you buy a few attractions. Last time we went we had to do behind the falls because it was too early in season for Maid of the Mist. Kids were disappointed. I also wanted Maid of the Mist.

We did both, but if you can only do one, then do the Maid of the Mist.

Isn't Journey Behind the Falls the one where you put on these fabric-y 'shoes' and get all sopping wet?
I'd opt for Maid of the Mist. Awe inspiring and ahhh refreshing!

Shirley, the one you described is the cave of the winds. But do the maid of the mist over the journey behind the falls. More exciting.

I guess it depends where you're coming from and what airline because airlines do have some great deals at times. I noticed that amtrak tickets were generally around $65 one way (from NYC) although the rates may have changed last time I took the train.

Journey behind the falls was MUCH NICER & much more fun. you get to be in the falls instead of ride near the falls!
we were planning to do the amtrak at first but cuz we went with a baby it was much easier to fly it not sure if came out cheaper the whole flight was 50 minutes and was worth it very comfortable ride. We didnt need a car in niagra at all. we even walked over the border did American side & Canadian side.
ENJOY!!!! The weather is glorious now!

I don't have an opinion about what to see but I know that there is a one dollar bus(!) by Greyhound from NY to Toronto. (My sister went on it, so I know it's true). apparently, Greyhound is trying to drive its competitor out of business (if it hasn't succeeded thus far) and is offering this crazy deal until it accomplishes what it hopes to (that's Capitalism for you...) Just thought I'd pass on this info if you're interested in going to Toronto. Bon Voyage!
