Anyone tried this? How did it come out?
I saw recipes with good reviews and wondering if it’s even possible!

Did it once when I didn't have a broiler. So I covered 350 for like 40 minutes. Not as good as broiling.

I put it in my crockpot once for shabbos lunch and it was not as good as when I broil it. Since then I have always broiled it and we just eat it cold for shabbos lunch

I didn't realize it's meant to be broiled and baked it on 300 for like 3-4 hours, it was very good.

How do u broil it? How many minutes?

It would really be an inferior result. That recipes got *good* reviews just means that either people have terrible taste or the reviews are fake.

It is the cut of meat that makes it impossible to get a good result. It is meant to be broiled and then cut against the grain. If you roast in the oven or cook for long periods of time all you get is a dry tough result.

Some cuts like a brisket or chuck are meant to be braised but these are specific tough cuts with a good amount of fat. As you cook it slowly the collagen collapses - the fat moistens the meat and the muscle tissue gets very tender.

8 minutes on each side on broil or 500

But it depends on how thick your cut is

Also it has to be room temperature b4 you put it in the oven.

I have a super easy delicious recipe if you are interested

Yes, I've done it many times, see like 250-300 for 5-7 hours...
I like mixing honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and rosemary and using that as a sauce to cook low and slow.

Marinade:

Soy sauce
Fresh garlic
Rosemary
Olive oil
Garlic powder

Put marinade in a gallon size bag and add the London broil meat. Marinade in fridge for 12 hrs or more

Take out and let sit on counter until room temp

Broil on pan with the Marinade for 8 minutes and then flip and cook for another 8 minutes.

Let it rest for 45 minutes or so and cut against the grain into strips.
