How come it’s the mothers? All things are done by the men why is this one given to the women?! Just curious, it suddenly occurred to me!

Rabbi belsky mentioned something about it being symbolic advice for the future mother, basically kids will break things and it shouldn't upset the mother. Breaking should symbolize a happy home full of simcha.
