Mine aren't quite old enough for that.

My 3 year old loves to peel potatoes, so what if he doesn't do the greatest job, it keeps him busy and so happy, he'll peel one while I peel many more, win win for everyone

I keep scoops in my floor, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder etc. I only use that scoop for what it's in so no need to wash as often. Makes baking soooo much easier- only need to wash the bowl!

I keep a disposable plastic soup spoon in there. It's exactly a ½ Tablespoon (1.5 tsp).
For larger amounts I use a plastic cup.

To clean a food processor after use - fill bowl halfway with water, put in the S blade and turn on until the sides are mostly clean.

I save the little scoops that come w the vanilla sugar and keep them in baking powder, baking soda containers so no need to take out a measuring spoon and wash each time.
I also have a separate measuring cup for the flour and sugar that stays in there as well
I save the covers from the honey and use them to cover the large oil bottles. It’s much a neater way to pour oil.
I cover the counter w plastic table cloth when cook or bake and keep the cookbook open under the plastic so won’t get dirty

I roast butternut squash in the oven before peeling it.
Saves so much time and energy, no need to fight with those hard, thick peels.
What's yours? |
someone told me this hack this year and it changed my butternut squash life
same person told me to put parchment paper over the grill pan when grilling chicken, and it is much easier clean up. I haven't tried I tyet, but she claims you still get the nice grill lines

I wrap it and bake it for about half an hour, it's not cooked but peels and cuts much much more easily. Then I can cube it and do whatever I want with it
