I bought raw chicken cutlets on Tuesday and didn't touch them yet.
Is it OK to use today?
Is it ok to freeze the rest?
It was a family pack

No it doesn’t last in the fridge this long. You also don’t know how new it was when you bought it.

Chicken lasts in the fridge a day or a bit longer.

Very easy to tell if it's bad... if it smells at all. Just open and smell.

Chicken definitely lasts more than a day or two in the fridge.
Look at the chicken package next time you buy it. The sell by date is usually 3 days away.
Not sure where Imamother gets its crazy ideas about food safety from.

The USDA. Which says raw chicken and poultry should be kept 1-2 days max.
I would maybe use after 3 days if I had a very very good fridge, like subzero.
Other than that, no I would chuck it after 2 days, especially because in the store itself it’s not always fresh and not sitting in the best conditions to start with.
