My two year old is recovering from the flu and started coughing terribly today. She has a bad cold also. Doctor checked her today and said lungs are clear. Any suggestions what to help her with? She keeps coughing, sometimes throwing up and is pretty miserable
Thank you!

My dd who is 8 had the same thing the dr recommend Benadryl to dry out the cough. I only used it at night bey it really helped her sleep. During the day I used childrens DayQuil.

The cough lingers and sounds horrible but isn’t usually something to worry about.

The dr told me not to worry but it’s so hard watching her like this. She’s only two and keeps coughing. Wish I could help her with some thing, dr said nebulizer won’t help

Delsym and mucinex for cough control. It’s every 4/6 hours so watch the time and take as needed . It helps a little . Benadryl liquid or chewable tablets for the little kids .

Also hot water with honey. Give your husband a thermos to keep near his bed , it really helps with middle of the night attacks . Can you tell we’re getting over the flu here lol ..
