You can do for way cheaper if you want to take the risk and order directly from China. Look up ebm people have written about it here.

I don’t want to do that

I have a very large head and have had bad experiences with the super cheap brands in the past

I have a Kiki X that was around 3000 after everything we did- folded, lined the lace, highlights and cutting. I'm very happy with it. The hair feels nice, holds style decently. I've had it for a year and a half now and it's still in great shape

Lasting really depends on how much you wear your wigs and how often you wash them and if your shaitel macher uses heat on them...and where you live. Alot of factors. Shaintels in monsey sells mid range wigs for cost price. Their wigs are nicer than ever.
