Google Orbelle bunk beds. I bought at a frum store but many online sites carry them. Quality furniture- we have the bunk bed more than 10 years BH.

Thank you -
I looked at those. Do you think that a bed that can separate into 2 beds is less strong/safe?

I have also seen some bunk beds that are low to the ground - any thoughts on those?

If IKEA- what mettress do you get with it? They have so many choices, can't figure it out

We have ones that can be disassembled intl 2 proper beds, and it is very strong BH. We also have it set at a height that can accompany a pull out bed underneath if the kids have visitors.

I have an orbelle bunk bed that separates into 2 beds. I've used it both ways. It's thick, sturdy wood. Perfectly strong and safe.

I wouldn't get a bunk bed that is close to the ground. Feels almost like your on the floor, not comfortable for the kid sleeping on the bottom bed.

Can you post exactly which orbelle you got. At what age can a kid sleep on the top bunk.
